Care Before Crisis™ · 2026
Holiday Hope Drop
Neighbors showing up. Families feeling supported.
A season of gifts, household support and real connection for Dallas County families, with dignity at every step. Our pilot goal is 20 households.
Why we do this
Care Before Crisis™ shows up in December too.
The holidays can bring joy and pressure at the same time. Money gets tight, stress goes up, and parents carry a lot quietly. Care Before Crisis™ means we show up early, before stress turns into crisis.
Holiday Hope Drop connects neighbors who want to give with families who could use a lift. Every family keeps its privacy and its pride. Parents choose how gifts arrive, and we can share local support resources too.
How it works
Four simple steps.
- 1
Ask
A caregiver sends a short request. Partners can refer with the caregiver's OK.
- 2
Review
A real person reviews every request. Support depends on what is available.
- 3
Match
Selected families are matched with sponsors who see only a household code and kids' ages and interests.
- 4
Handoff
Gifts reach families the way the parent chose, with care and privacy.
You choose
Three ways gifts can arrive.
Discreet, parent only
Gifts go to you privately so you can give them yourself.
Family celebration
A small, warm handoff with your family, only with your OK.
Private pickup
You pick up at a set time. We share the place only with you.
Handoff options depend on volunteer coverage. We confirm what works with each selected family.

For neighbors, businesses and groups
Sponsor a family.
Shop from a private wishlist, give to the shared fund, or help behind the scenes. You will see a household code and each child's age, interests and sizes. Never names or addresses.
Gift standards
- New, unopened items only.
- Label each gift with the household code and child number we give you.
- No gift cards with names, no religious or political messages, no toy weapons.
- Keep receipts so families can exchange sizes.
Drop off details are shared directly with confirmed sponsors.
Give hope
Every gift lands with a neighbor.
Suggested amounts cover gifts, household support, packaging and delivery. They are a guide, not an exact package. Gifts are pooled so every selected family gets fair support. Anything left over stays in our holiday work for families.

- The caregiver knows when you are coming.
- Stay outside the home.
- Never leave gifts unattended without the caregiver's OK.
- No photos needed, and none without permission.

Your privacy
We protect every family.
Only approved A Mindful Resource staff can see requests. Sponsors and volunteers never see your contact details unless you are on a delivery run you agreed to.
We collect only what we need: no full child names, birthdays, ID numbers or income papers. Your address is asked for privately only if you are selected.
Photos and stories are always optional, and saying no never changes your request. We never sell or share your information.
Questions
FAQ
Who can ask for support?
Parents and caregivers in our service area with children up to age 17. One request per household.
Does sending a request mean we get gifts?
No. A real person reviews every request, and support depends on what is available. We never use a score or a computer to decide.
Do I need to prove my income?
No. Do not send pay stubs, ID or Social Security numbers. We will never ask for money.
Will sponsors know who we are?
No. Sponsors see only a household code and each child's age, interests and sizes. Never names, phone numbers or addresses.
Where do I drop off gifts?
Our team shares drop off details directly with confirmed sponsors. We do not post a public location.
Is my pledge the same as a payment?
No. A pledge tells us what you plan to give. We record money only after it actually arrives.
