A PILLAR OF THE CARE BEFORE CRISIS™ ECOSYSTEM

Recovery Starts Before Crisis.

The Care Before Crisis™ Recovery & Resilience Initiative helps individuals, families, and communities prevent overdose, strengthen behavioral health, support recovery, and build resilience through education, trusted relationships, and compassionate community care.

Guiding PhilosophyTrust First.Prevent.Screen.Connect.

RECOVERY IS ABOUT MORE THAN SUBSTANCE USE

Healing the whole person, in community.

Recovery is healing. Rebuilding relationships. Improving mental wellness. Reconnecting with purpose. Restoring hope. It rarely happens alone, and it never happens on someone else's timeline.

Mental health and substance use are deeply connected. Many people experiencing a substance use disorder are also carrying trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or long stretches of isolation. Meeting one part of the story without the other leaves people stuck.

The Recovery & Resilience Initiative supports the whole person through prevention, education, recovery support, and community connection, aligned to the Care Before Crisis™ approach of building trust first and connecting people to care before emergencies occur.

EDUCATIONAL HUB

Understanding substance use & recovery.

Plain-language answers to the questions communities are actually asking.

A substance use disorder is a medical condition, not a moral failing. It affects the brain and behavior, and it responds to compassionate, evidence-based care. People experiencing a substance use disorder deserve dignity, support, and a real path to healing.
